WHAT IS THE LONGEVITY TRAINING LAB

The Longevity Training Lab is Sisu’s coached strength and movement program — small groups of up to four, training twice per week on progressive programming designed around the physical capacities that predict long-term health. Every member begins with a Sisu Assessment to establish a baseline, trains through a 12-week periodized cycle, and reassesses to measure what changed. Coached sessions end with The Ritual — reserved sauna and optional cold plunge built into the training day, not sold separately. Open Lab access is available for experienced members who prefer to train on their own schedule. The Lab also offers standalone performance testing for athletes and anyone who wants objective data on where they stand. At Sisu Longevity, the Training Lab is where strength, recovery, and measurement come together under one roof.

Benefits + Target Areas

Benefits for body, mind, and recovery.

Coached, Not Cued

A certified Sisu Longevity Coach runs every session. Same coach, same cohort, real accountability. Not a screen. Not a playlist.

Assessed Before You Start

Every member gets a Sisu Assessment — 8 tests including 3D movement analysis. Your program is built on data, not guesswork.

Functional Strength

Hip hinge, squat, carry, pull, anti-rotation. Movements that translate to real life — picking up grandchildren, carrying groceries, staying on your feet.

Fall Prevention

Balance, stability, and coordination work in every session. The #1 injury risk after 60 is preventable.

The Ritual

Reserved sauna + optional cold plunge after every coached session. Included. Recovery is not separate from training — it's the second half.

Small Groups, Real Progress

Cohorts of four. Your coach scales the program to you. You train with the same people every week. Community built into the structure.

16-Week Cycles

Progressive programming that builds on itself. Reassess, adjust, repeat. Not random workouts — a system.

No Barbell Required

Kettlebells, dumbbells, hex bar, bodyweight. Equipment that scales to any fitness level without intimidation.

Two ways in:

Training Lab Cohort  — Twice-weekly coached sessions in a group of four. The Ritual after every session. Sisu Assessment included. This is the full experience.

Open Lab — Self-directed access to Training Lab equipment during open hours. Two contrast sessions per month. Assessment at member rate. For people who know how to train and want the space.

Sisu Longevity Studio

Our environment, designed for longevity

Our Equipment

We built a toolkit, not a showroom. Every modality here was selected because the research backs it, then sourced from the providers who do it best. The same hard-shell hyperbaric technology used in clinical settings. The same anti-gravity treadmill trusted by professional athletes. That standard runs through everything we do.

Our Space

We designed Sisu around the belief that environment shapes outcomes. Intuitive flow between ten modalities, private changing areas, and a team present enough to guide you and experienced enough to get out of your way. This is what a serious longevity space feels like.

Our Amenities

Relaxation lounge, tea service, and hydration stations. We provide bench mats for every sauna session. Bring your own towel and robe, or pick up the real thing — we carry authentic Finnish sauna textiles in-studio. Private locker rooms and showers.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Every member starts with a Sisu Assessment that establishes your baseline. Your Longevity Coach scales the programming to your level — beginners and experienced members train the same movement patterns at different loads and progressions.

Yes, when properly programmed. Our FMS screening identifies limitations, and all exercises are scaled to your current capacity. Functional movement training is often recommended by physical therapists precisely because it builds joint stability and reduces long-term injury risk.

After every coached session, your cohort has reserved seats in the sauna, with optional cold plunge. Your coach sets the recovery protocol based on what you trained. It’s included in your cohort membership — not a separate booking.

Comfortable athletic clothing that allows full range of motion. We recommend training in socks or barefoot for optimal ground contact and proprioceptive feedback, though athletic shoes are fine if preferred.

A cohort gives you coached, progressive programming in a group of four — with accountability, community, and a measurement loop that most personal training doesn’t include. Your coach delivers Sisu’s curriculum, and your results are tracked with 3D movement analysis and biomarker testing every 16 weeks.

A gym gives you equipment. The Training Lab gives you a program — assessed, coached, periodized, and measured. Plus integrated recovery after every session.

Kettlebells, dumbbells, hex bars, and the MARS Recovery system. No barbells, no machines. The tools are selected for functional movement patterns that transfer directly to daily life and long-term health.

Training Lab Cohort members train twice a week with their cohort — that’s the coached strength foundation. But strength is only one piece of longevity fitness.

For cardiovascular health, we recommend adding:

– Zone 2 cardio — 2-4 sessions per week, 30-60 minutes each. This is the low-intensity aerobic base that drives mitochondrial health and fat metabolism. Walk, bike, hike, easy run — whatever you’ll do consistently. Our Ruck Club is a great option — a guided group ruck that doubles as Zone 2 training and community time.

– VO2 max work — 1 session per week when recovered. Short, hard intervals that maintain or improve your peak aerobic capacity. Research consistently shows VO2 max is one of the strongest predictors of all-cause mortality.

Your Sisu Longevity Coach can help you build a weekly structure that balances strength, Zone 2, and VO2 max training around your schedule and recovery. The goal isn’t more volume — it’s the right mix. Two coached strength sessions, 2-4 Zone 2 sessions, and one quality effort per week is a strong longevity protocol.

Most clients notice improved movement quality within 4-6 sessions. Measurable improvements in FMS scores typically occur within 8-12 weeks. Long-term benefits—including reduced pain, improved balance, and enhanced functional capacity—compound over months and years of consistent practice.

Functional mobility training can be adapted for most individuals. However, please consult your healthcare provider before beginning any new exercise program, especially if you have recent injuries, cardiovascular conditions, or other medical concerns.

Members 14 and older can access the Training Lab with appropriate clearance. The programming scales to any fitness level — the movements are the same, the loads are individualized.
