You’ve spent a lifetime building—careers, families, communities. Now it’s time to invest in what matters most: your ability to keep doing the things you love. At Sisu Longevity Studio, we understand that aging well isn’t about slowing down. It’s about building resilience, maintaining mobility, and preserving the cognitive sharpness that lets you stay engaged with life.
Sisu Longevity Studio was built by active adults in our 60s who invested in recovery and longevity modalities at home — cold plunge, sauna, PEMF, compression — and experienced real results. Reduced joint pain. Better sleep. The kind of changes that don’t happen at a gym or a doctor’s office. We knew Colorado Springs needed access to the same professional-grade equipment under one roof.
We have ten modalities. Real Finnish sauna with heated rocks and löyly steam — not infrared panels in a wooden box. A hard-shell hyperbaric chamber — not a soft-sided bag. Commercial-grade everything. This is what action over decline looks like.
WE UNDERSTAND WHERE YOU ARE
You’re dealing with real things. Knees that didn’t used to hurt. Sleep that doesn’t come as easily. A nagging worry about balance or memory that you haven’t told anyone about. Chronic inflammation that medication manages but never fixes.
You’re not looking for a miracle. You want to keep hiking Incline, keep traveling, keep doing the things that matter to you — without wondering when your body will stop cooperating.
The Gap
Most gyms aren't built for people over 60. The classes are too fast, the equipment assumes you're 30, and nobody's tracking whether you're actually getting stronger. Doctors treat what's broken but rarely invest in what's working. And the wellness places that do cater to this age group tend to offer candles and ambient music instead of actual tools.
How Sisu Fills the Gap
Sisu was built for this. Every modality was selected because it has evidence behind it for adults 60 and older — particularly for mobility, fall prevention, cognitive health, and the kind of functional strength that keeps you independent. Our coaches assess you, train alongside you, and measure your progress every 16 weeks. This isn't a spa. It's a place where you do the work.

The Sisu Advantage
Founded By People Like You
Sisu wasn’t designed by wellness industry outsiders reading demographic reports. It was built by an active adult in his 60s who invested in these modalities at home — cold plunge, sauna, PEMF, compression — and experienced real results. Reduced joint pain. Better sleep. Better mobility. The kind of changes that made it clear this shouldn’t be limited to people who can build out a home recovery setup. Sisu brings what works to Colorado Springs, under one roof, for everyone
Science-Backed, Not Fad-Driven
We’re skeptical of wellness trends that lack evidence. Every modality at Sisu is supported by published research, and we’re transparent about what the science shows — and what it doesn’t. No miracle claims. No pseudoscience. Just honest guidance on what works.
Accessible Without Medical Barriers
AlterG treadmills, hard-shell hyperbaric chamber, and clinical-grade PEMF are normally locked behind medical facilities and physician referrals. At Sisu, you walk in and book them. These are your tools. Use them for wellness, not just treatment
Built for Accessibility
Our facility was designed with accessibility in mind. Our Finnish sauna is fully ADA compliant and wheelchair accessible—we may be the only facility in Colorado Springs offering a wheelchair-accessible authentic Finnish-style sauna. For those who cannot safely use the cold plunge, we offer a cold dump alternative that delivers cold therapy benefits without full immersion. Every detail has been considered to ensure all active seniors can participate.
Colorado Springs Context
Altitude Advantage
Living at 6,000+ feet creates unique wellness opportunities. Our contrast therapy, mHBOT, and other modalities can help optimize your adaptation to altitude while supporting the active lifestyle that Colorado enables.
Active Community
Colorado Springs consistently ranks among the healthiest cities in America, with an engaged population of active adults. You’ll find yourself among peers who share your values around healthy aging.
Veteran-Owned Commitment
Sisu is founded and operated by veterans who understand both discipline and service. While our facility serves the entire community, this heritage shapes our culture: respect for every individual, commitment to excellence, and a mission-driven approach to helping people live better, longer.
Equipment Excellence
We don’t buy consumer-grade equipment and charge professional prices. Pulse XL Pro PEMF. Oxygen Health Systems hard-shell hyperbaric chamber. AlterG Neo+ with Stride Smart gait analytics. Normatec 3.0. Regenesis ExoRed full-body red light bed. Real Finnish sauna — heated rocks and löyly steam, not infrared panels. If you’re paying for recovery, you should know exactly what you’re using

Frequently Asked Questions
Safety & Medical Questions
Is contrast therapy safe for seniors with cardiovascular conditions?
For most healthy adults, contrast therapy is safe and may even support cardiovascular health. However, if you have a diagnosed heart condition, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or recent cardiac events, please consult your physician before beginning. We’ll work with your healthcare team to determine appropriate protocols. Learn more.
Can I use Sisu if I'm on blood thinners or other medications?
Most of our modalities are compatible with common medications. HBOT requires a signed medical clearance form before your first session. If you have specific concerns about a condition or medication, we recommend checking with your physician before booking. Our staff can answer general questions about each modality.
What if I have mobility limitations or use a walker/cane?
Our facility is fully accessible, and many of our modalities accommodate limited mobility. Float therapy, PEMF, compression therapy, vibroacoustic therapy, and halotherapy require no physical exertion. Our staff is trained to assist as needed, and we’ll adapt protocols to your capabilities.
Time & Commitment Questions
How often do I need to come to see results?
Meaningful results typically require 2-3 visits per week for the first 4-8 weeks, transitioning to 1-2 visits weekly for maintenance. Our Elevate membership is structured around this optimal frequency. That said, even occasional visits provide benefits—some is always better than none.
How long is a typical session?
Individual modality sessions range from 15 minutes (red light) to 90 minutes (float or HBOT). Most seniors find 60-90 minute combined visits most efficient, experiencing 2-3 modalities in sequence. Our Senior Wellness mornings run about 2 hours total, including class and open modality time.
Cost & Value Questions
Is this covered by Medicare or insurance?
Wellness services at Sisu are generally not covered by Medicare or private insurance, as we operate as a wellness facility rather than a medical clinic. However, HSA/FSA funds may be applicable for certain services. Some long-term care policies include wellness provisions—check with your provider.
How does the cost compare to other approaches?
Our Elevate membership provides the frequency most seniors need. Visit our membership page for current pricing.
Results Questions
How soon will I notice benefits?
Many clients notice immediate benefits—improved mood, better sleep, reduced tension—after their first visit. Cumulative benefits like reduced chronic pain, improved mobility, and enhanced energy typically become apparent within 4-6 weeks of consistent use. Cognitive and long-term health benefits require sustained commitment over months.
Are the benefits proven by research?
Yes, all our modalities are supported by peer-reviewed research. We’re happy to share specific studies related to any modality or health concern. We’re also honest about the limitations of research—some benefits have stronger evidence than others, and individual responses vary.
Lifestyle Integration
Can I combine this with my existing fitness routine?
Absolutely. Sisu services complement rather than replace physical activity. Many members use our recovery modalities after golf, tennis, hiking, or gym workouts. Our mobility classes are designed to enhance, not substitute for, your active lifestyle.
What should I wear? What do I need to bring?
Wear comfortable clothing or suitable sauna attire and a towel and shower shoes. Otherwise, just bring yourself—and perhaps a book for our lounge.
