What Is Halotherapy?
Benefits + Target Areas
Proven benefits for body, mind, and recovery.
Respiratory Support
Salt aerosol may help clear airways and support easier breathing — especially relevant at Colorado's 6,000+ feet.
Skin Health
Salt has natural antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. Many people notice calmer, softer skin after regular sessions.
Immune Support
Regular exposure to salt aerosol may support respiratory immune function and reduce susceptibility to seasonal illness.
Stress Reduction
The salt room is one of the quietest spaces in the studio. Sit back, breathe, and decompress.
Improved Sleep
Easier breathing and reduced stress contribute to better sleep quality.
Kid-Friendly
The salt room welcomes kids of all ages with a parent present. One of the few modalities the whole family can do together.
Altitude Adaptation
Colorado visitors and new residents often notice respiratory benefits from salt therapy at elevation.
Pairs with Other Modalities
Stack a salt room session before contrast therapy or compression. Low-effort, high-value add-on to any visit.
Our environment, designed for longevity
Our Equipment
We built a toolkit, not a showroom. Every modality here was selected because the research backs it, then sourced from the providers who do it best. The same hard-shell hyperbaric technology used in clinical settings. The same anti-gravity treadmill trusted by professional athletes. That standard runs through everything we do.
Our Space
We designed Sisu around the belief that environment shapes outcomes. Intuitive flow between ten modalities, private changing areas, and a team present enough to guide you and experienced enough to get out of your way. This is what a serious longevity space feels like.
Our Amenities
Relaxation lounge, tea service, and hydration stations. We provide bench mats for every sauna session. Bring your own towel and robe, or pick up the real thing — we carry authentic Finnish sauna textiles in-studio. Private locker rooms and showers.

Frequently Asked Questions
Safety Questions
Is halotherapy safe?
For most people, halotherapy is considered safe and well-tolerated. The salt concentration used in our sessions is carefully controlled and far below levels that would cause irritation. However, halotherapy is not appropriate for everyone—please see the contraindications section below and consult with your healthcare provider if you have concerns.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to relax. Salt particles will settle on fabric, so avoid dark colors if salt residue concerns you. We recommend short sleeves to allow skin exposure, and removing shoes is required to maintain the salt room environment.
Can children do halotherapy?
Yes, halotherapy is generally considered safe for children and may be particularly helpful for those with respiratory sensitivities. Children under 12 should be accompanied by an adult. We recommend shorter sessions (15-20 minutes) for young children.
Who shouldn't use halotherapy?
Halotherapy is not recommended for individuals with active contagious respiratory conditions, severe uncontrolled asthma, or open wounds on exposed skin. If you have any respiratory, cardiovascular, or immune condition, consult your physician before beginning.
General question
Can the salt room be used for other experiences?
Yes. Sisu’s salt room is available for massage therapy sessions and salt room yoga, combining the respiratory and skin benefits of halotherapy with bodywork or guided movement. Ask our team about availability and scheduling for these experiences.
What should I expect during halotherapy?
Enter the salt room, sit or recline in a comfortable chair, and breathe normally. The halogenerator runs throughout the session, dispersing microscopic salt particles into the air — you may notice a faint salt taste. The room is quiet and dimly lit. No special preparation is needed and there’s nothing to rinse off afterward. Sessions last 20–45 minutes.
Results Timeline
When will I notice the benefits?
Many people report feeling more relaxed immediately after their first session, with easier breathing often noticed within hours. For chronic conditions or long-term benefits, most research and anecdotal evidence suggests that consistent sessions over 2-4 weeks produce more noticeable improvements.
Is one session enough?
A single session can provide relaxation and temporary respiratory support. However, for lasting benefits, regular sessions are typically more effective. Many clients find that 2-3 sessions per week initially, reducing to 1-2 sessions weekly for maintenance, provides optimal results.
How often should I do halotherapy?
Weekly sessions are common. Some members use the salt room 2–3 times per week during allergy season or when recovering from congestion.
